Resource & Service Use Policy

Effective date: August 28, 2026

1. Purpose

HostVera hosting plans are designed primarily for website hosting and ordinary business or personal web applications. Storage, CPU, memory, database, process, network, email, and other resources are shared or allocated according to the service purchased.

2. Fair Use

Customers must use resources in a manner consistent with normal hosting activity. Use that materially impacts server performance, other customers, network reputation, security, or upstream providers may require corrective action.

3. Prohibited Storage Uses

Unless a service expressly permits otherwise, hosting storage should not be used primarily as off-site backup storage, public file-sharing storage, download mirrors, archival repositories, synchronization drives, or other uses that consume disproportionate shared resources.

4. High-Resource Applications

Applications that consume excessive CPU, RAM, I/O, processes, database resources, email resources, or network bandwidth may be subject to optimization requirements, throttling, temporary restriction, upgrade, migration, or suspension.

5. Email Reputation

Customers must maintain reasonable sending practices. Compromised accounts, spam complaints, blacklisting, high bounce rates, or abusive sending may require immediate limits or suspension to protect the network and other customers.

6. Security and Abuse

Customers must secure applications and promptly remediate vulnerabilities, malware, compromised credentials, and abusive scripts. Failure to address a serious security issue may result in temporary restriction.

7. Notices and Corrective Action

When practical, HostVera may notify the customer and provide a reasonable opportunity to remedy a resource problem. Immediate action may be taken where an issue threatens security, network availability, third parties, or continued operation of the service.

8. No Guarantee of Resource Availability

Unless a written dedicated-resource service agreement states otherwise, resource levels may vary based on service type and shared infrastructure. Advertised "unlimited" or "unmetered" features remain subject to this policy.

9. Contact

Questions concerning resource usage may be submitted through Support. HostVera.com, 1256 W Lathrop Rd, Unit 158, Manteca, CA 95336; 209-665-7662.
